What you might want to know about sharing your problem, costs, and what happens next.
Is my problem a good fit?
If you do something by hand, repeat the same steps, keep finding mistakes, or cannot find a tool that fits, tell me about it. Examples include copying PDFs into Excel, combining reports, reconciling numbers, or tracking work across spreadsheets and chat. Tasks you do alone or as part of a team are both welcome.
Is a small task worth sharing, even if only I do it?
Yes. Something that takes 20 minutes every day can still be worth looking at. You do not need to prove that other people have the same problem. Tell me how it affects you.
Do I need to know which software I need?
No. Describe how you do the work and the difficult parts. I will look into whether an existing tool, automating a few steps, or custom software could help. Sometimes changing the process is enough.
What happens after I submit?
I read it and reply by email. I may ask a few questions to understand how you work. If there is a practical way forward, we agree on what to try and any costs before I start. I build an early version for you to try and give feedback on. Not every problem needs new software.
Is sharing free? When would I need to pay?
Sharing your problem is free, with no obligation to hire me. If I choose to develop it into a product for other people too, I do not charge you for building that product. If you or your company need a custom solution, we agree on the cost first. The fee I propose will be less than what the solution is expected to save you.
How soon could I try a solution?
I need to understand the problem before estimating that. If we decide to build something, we will discuss timing. Trendline had a working version in under two weeks; that is one example, not a promised turnaround for every problem.
Will my description or files be made public?
I use what you send to understand and discuss the problem. Nothing is shared publicly without your permission. You do not need to send real data to start: a screenshot or sample file with personal, confidential, and sensitive details removed can help me understand the workflow.
Can I write in Vietnamese or English?
Either is welcome, wherever you are. Use the words you normally use to describe your work; no technical terms needed.
